Are you missing Queensland Maritime Museum?
Easter, ANZAC Day, and now what?
Sadly, we’ll be closed till the end of May 2020
When QMM had to close its doors in March, we knew that this would hurt us all: hurt us emotionally, hurt us financially, and hurt us collectively (Employees, Volunteers, Members, and Board). Our museum is an important community-based arts organisation that has existed for nearly 50 years because of the incredible work that we, collectively, have achieved. You only need to look at the data in our first ever Annual Report to confirm that. So, when we thought carefully about our strategy for immediate survival, we knew that we needed to spend some time not only addressing the obvious lack of revenue (from admissions, shop sales, and events), but also helping the people who make this museum the place it is today, stay connected with it.
