The Queensland Maritime Museum Association’s Values Statement expresses our values and acts as a moral foundation we stand on and in conjunction with our Mission Statement and Mission Guidelines, it acts as a reference point for internal decisions.

We care intensely about the Queensland Maritime Museum’s success.

2. Intelligence.
We are willing to learn and to share knowledge. We look at problems from a different angle and think critically to find solutions.

3. Respect
We have respectful and sometimes robust conversations. We value the rule of law and the opinions of others. We have the courage to question actions inconsistent with our values.

4. Community
We champion our Mission to collect, preserve and share our Maritime Heritage.

5. Mateship
We recognise each other’s achievements. We support each other no matter how violent the storm. We inspire others, are quietly confident and openly humble.

We reject bullying, discrimination and disrespectful behaviour.
