The Museum’s volunteer program is an integral part of the life of the Museum. Our volunteers operate most areas of the Museum including reception, guiding, archives, library, maintenance, displays and the upkeep of our vessels.

We are a group of men and women, giving our time and skills, and in return we have the satisfaction of providing a worthwhile community service. As well, we have the companionship of persons of similar interests. Most members and volunteers are retired and find a need to remain active and appreciated. Our younger members have an opportunity to learn skills of benefit to their future, and are a valued group.
