Set sail on a journey through time and discover the fascinating story of RMS Queen Mary at an exhibition in the Museum’s Gallery 2.

This majestic ocean liner sailed the seas from 1936 to 1967, as the epitome of luxury and elegance, her record-breaking speeds earning her the prestigious “Blue Riband” accolade.

With her opulent amenities, the Queen Mary hosted royalty, celebrities and thousands of passengers.

During World War II, she played a vital role as a troop ship, frequently sailing from Australia, earning the nickname “Grey Ghost”.

Today the Queen Mary is permanently docked in Long Beach, California, serving as a hotel, offering visitors a glimpse into her rich history.

Notorious paranormal activity on board has earned her a reputation as one of the most haunted places on earth.

With rare artifacts, historical documents, and vintage photographs, this exhibition brings the Queen Mary‘s incredible story to life.

The Queensland Maritime Museum invites you to experience the magic of this legendary ship. No booking required, included in the regular entry ticket.
