World Maritime Day 2024

This year’s World Maritime Day is on Thursday 26 September 2024. The theme is:

“Navigating the future: safety first!”

International Maritime Organization

Social media participation: IMO invites Members States and everyone in the maritime industry to celebrate the day by using the hashtag #WorldMaritimeDay and tagging IMO on social media.

Operating Hours

Queensland Maritime Museum is ticketed in line with Stage 3 of Queensland Government’s COVID Safe Roadmap to recovery.

We are currently open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 4:15 PM. Tickets are available at the front entrance.

Make a Donation

The Queensland Maritime Museum appreciates the generous financial support we receive from individuals and organisations in the form of donations and sponsorship.

Financial gifts are welcomed and can be allocated to specific projects at the request of the donor and with the agreement of the Board of Directors. The current gift funds are Diamantina and Library.

Membership to The Queensland Maritime Museum Association provides an opportunity to support the objectives of the Museum and the programs it runs. Our members participate in the day-to-day running of the Museum.
