A Siren Series Talk at the Queensland Maritime Museum
Russell Twomey, a Brisbane-based maritime historian, is coming to the Queensland Maritime Museum (QMM) to present an interesting talk on Australian immigration titled They Came By Sea. Listen and question Russell on the Saturday 21st of September, at 10am, at the QMM Shipping Room.
This event is part of the QMM’s Siren Series Talks, which will cover many interesting topics on maritime history, immigration and ancestry.
Russell will be sharing riveting stories about the sacrifices and hardships of immigrants experienced to arrive on Australian shores. This talk will run for about an hour, with time to ask questions, debate and enjoy morning tea afterwards.
Russell is an historian who is a popular presenter on this topic on cruise ships around the world.
