Get up Close and Personal with a Super Model in the School Holidays
Children can make, paint and decorate their own models to take home, assisted by Master Modeller Trevor Wheate. Watch Trevor create his own detailed models and dioramas as part of Super Models – The Art of Marine Miniatures, the new exhibition at the Queensland Maritime Museum. The exhibition showcases the Museum’s collection with over 40 models of all sizes, ships in bottles, half models and models of historic vessels like Captain Cook’s Endeavour and Queensland’s Lucinda. Models from ancient Egyptian vessels through thirteen different styles clearly show the development of ships spanning three millennia.
