Brisbane Open House is a FREE event, providing residents and visitors with the rare opportunity to discover the hidden wealth of architecture, engineering and history in buildings and places around Brisbane city.
Held annually, selected buildings are opened for the public with guided and self-guided tours to encourage them to explore, re-examine and engage with Brisbane’s built environment.
BOH is a part of the Open House Worldwide family – a global network of Open House events which has become a worldwide movement.
The Museum is open on Saturday 12th October from 9.30am to 4:30pm and entry is free that day.
The historic Tugboat Forceful will be the venue for morning and afternoon tea on Brisbane Open House day. Visitors will enjoy scones, jam and cream and tea or coffee in the original captain’s day cabin, moored to the Museum pontoon.
Morning and afternoon tea sessions will be held at 9.30am, 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Tickets for tea are $10 each.
