A voluntary organisation like the Queensland Maritime Museum and its collection can not exist without the involvement of the public and the support of interested businesses.
The Queensland Maritime Museum Association invites all to join our group of dedicated workers. No matter what your skills, we have a place for you at the Museum.
It is our aim to promote interest in and knowledge of maritime history, preserve historical artifacts and display them for the benefit of the public. This also includes the preservation of vessels such as the ex HMAS Diamantina, Australia's largest surviving World War 2 vessel, our famous steam tug Forceful, the lightship Carpentaria and the dock itself.
You can become involved with the Museum in a number of ways, including
- as a member of the Association
- as a volunteer for the Museum
- by making a donation or bequest
- by sponsorship of an item, display or activity
The Board of Directors thanks all for their generous support of the objectives of the Museum.
